While some people overlook the importance of emergency kits because they rely on road side assistance, the reality is that you never know how long it will take for help to arrive.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-what-items-should-you-include-in-your-emergency-kit\">What items should you include in your emergency kit?<\/h2>\n<p>While there is no limit to what items you can include in your emergency kit, there are a number of items that you may need to have. These items include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>A cell phone (if you don\u2019t carry one with you)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>First aid kit<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Bottled water and snacks<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>A blanket, gloves, and additional warm clothing for the winter months<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Flashlight and batteries<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Tire gauge and Jumper cables<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Small tool kit<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Your emergency kit should have these items at a minimum, and depending on your specific situation, you may include other items. These additional items will be based on your driving frequency and the climate where you drive.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless of how often and where you drive, having an emergency kit is common sense.
